We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring complete transparency regarding how data is handled when you use our mobile application. This Privacy Policy details our data collection, handling, storage, security, and deletion practices in full compliance with Google Play User Data policies.

2. Data We Collect and How We Use It

AutoDeal is designed to assist automotive sales managers, auto dealers, and car dealerships in managing inventory, creating deal sheets, tracking costs, and generating professional sales contracts and invoices.

2.1 Personal and Profile Information

• Dealer Profile: Dealership/workshop name, dealer representative name, business contact email, phone number, and dealer logo/profile picture.
• Usage: Used exclusively to brand your invoices, export headers, deal cards, and PDF receipts. This information is stored exclusively on your device.

2.2 Vehicle & Inventory Data

• Vehicle Details: Make, model, year, registration number, VIN/chassis number, engine number, price, cost, mileage, transmission, color, smart card notes, and transaction status.
• Usage: Used to maintain your inventory catalog, compute profits, search vehicles, and generate export documents.

2.3 Photos, Documents, and Media

• Vehicle Photos & Documents: Photos of vehicles, car details, inspection reports, registration documents, and invoices that you capture or upload.
• Usage: Attached to specific vehicle records for display in your inventory list and included in PDF reports or shareable inventory cards at your explicit direction.

2.4 Exported Files and Backups

• Backups & Exports: CSV exports, PDF sales sheets, and ZIP backup archives created when you use the app's export or backup tools.
• Usage: Saved directly to device storage or sent through Android's system share sheet to destinations you explicitly choose.

3. Device Permissions and Access

AutoDeal requests only the device permissions strictly necessary to provide its core features:

• Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Required only when you choose to take a photo of a vehicle, registration document, or profile image directly using the device camera. AutoDeal does not record video or audio in the background and does not access the camera without your immediate action.
• Photos & Media Library / Storage: Required to allow you to select existing vehicle photos or documents from your photo library to attach to your vehicle records, and to save generated export files (PDFs, CSVs, and backup ZIPs) to your device.
• Internet Access: Used exclusively for opening external links (such as privacy policy and support documentation) and sending user-initiated exports via the system sharing sheet. AutoDeal does not operate background syncing of your vehicle catalog to third-party ad networks.

4. Secure Data Handling Procedures for Personal and Sensitive User Data

In accordance with Google Play's User Data policy requirements, we implement robust, industry-standard technical and operational safeguards to protect personal and sensitive user data:

4.1 Local Sandboxed Storage Architecture

AutoDeal operates primarily as an offline, local-first application. All sensitive dealership data, inventory records, notes, and photos are saved directly inside the application's private, sandboxed internal storage directory on your Android device (using SQLite/WatermelonDB and encrypted MMKV storage). This sandbox prevents other installed applications on your device from accessing or reading your AutoDeal data.

4.2 Encryption at Rest

Data stored locally on your device relies on the Android operating system's hardware-backed File-Based Encryption (FBE) and Keystore mechanisms, ensuring that stored database records, photos, and configurations are protected by your device's lock screen security and hardware encryption keys.

4.3 Encryption in Transit (TLS/HTTPS)

Whenever network communication occurs—such as navigating to online legal documents or executing user-initiated exports—all data transmitted outside the device is protected using modern, encrypted protocols: Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2 and TLS 1.3 / HTTPS). AutoDeal never transmits sensitive data over plain, unencrypted HTTP channels.

4.4 Access Control and Permission Boundaries

The application only accesses sensitive hardware (camera, gallery files) upon explicit runtime user consent. Access can be granted or revoked by the user at any time in Android system settings without corrupting local records.

4.5 Zero Unauthorized Third-Party Data Transmission

We do not sell, rent, monetize, trade, or distribute your personal or sensitive business data to data brokers, analytics corporations, or third-party advertisers. Your inventory and financial figures belong solely to you.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

AutoDeal does not automatically broadcast or share your information. Data is only shared under the following conditions:

• User-Initiated Sharing: When you actively choose to share a vehicle card, PDF invoice, or CSV report via WhatsApp, Email, messaging services, or cloud storage apps using Android's native sharing sheet.
• Legal Compliance: If required by valid court order, applicable legislation, or governmental authority with proper legal jurisdiction.

6. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

You have full ownership and complete control over your data at all times:

6.1 Retention Period

Your dealership data, vehicle records, attached images, and preferences are retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed and choose not to delete them.

6.2 Step-by-Step Data Deletion Procedures

You can delete your data at any time using any of the following methods:

1. In-App Deletion: You can edit or delete individual vehicle listings, remove attached photos, or clear dealer profile fields directly within the app's user interface. Deleted entries are immediately erased from the local database.
2. Clearing App Data: You can purge all application data at once by navigating to your device's Settings → Apps → AutoDeal → Storage & Cache → Clear Storage (Clear Data). This will permanently delete all stored inventory, dealer profile details, and cached images.
3. Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling AutoDeal completely and permanently removes the private database, application sandboxed storage, and all associated media from your device.

7. Third-Party Services and Analytics

AutoDeal is designed for professional business use by automotive dealership personnel and vehicle sales managers. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.
